Spring Cleaning Your Computer

I can't believe spring is almost here! Where I live it's been a long, cold winter. I'm pretty sure it's snowed every day for the last two months!

Now that the sun is a little stronger and the weather's a little warmer, I'm inspired to clear the clutter from my house as well as from my computer. One of the biggest tasks involves taking movie projects off my hard drive and putting them onto some more permanent storage media. It's always a hassle because I'm not the most organized person when it comes to saving files--I generally have several different edits of each project, each with several different compressed versions, saved in several different places on my desktop. Just finding all of these separate files is an enormous task!

All the cleaning is worth it in the end--I have many gigabytes more free space on my computer, and I know that all my projects are safe from accidental deletion!
