12 Seconds TV - Twitter for Video
It seems like the videos I'm making keep getting shorter and shorter. I started making feature-length documentaries, and now I mostly produce short form web videos of three minutes or less. Today, though, I went about as short as I could while playing around with the video sharing website 12 Seconds.
The new video sharing site 12 Seconds is like Twitter for video. You can post short video status updates, which are then broadcast to your group of followers. The site is quick to set up and easy to use, with an intuitive interface and handy features to integrate with your other social networking accounts.
Creating a 12 Second video is challenging. Many of the videos I watched on the site cut off before offering a payoff. And I struggled myself to put together video clips that could provide some entertainment. To see how well I did, you can check out my 12 Second video clips. I think the best use for the site will be quick uploads from a mobile phone. However, lots of other sites let you do mobile uploads and don't limit the video length, so I'm not sure why you'd choose to use 12 Seconds instead of YouTube or another video sharing site.
