The iMovie video effect "Motion Blur" gives your video clip the appearance of motion that's too fast to be recorded, and thus comes out blurry.

iMovie Video Effects - Motion Blur

  • Effect In, Effect Out:To apply the effect to only part of the video clip, move the sliders to the places/times when you want the effect to begin and end. Leave them both set to 0:00 to apply the effect to the entire clip.

  • Angle: Move the slider toward Min to get a horizontal blur, toward Max to get a vertical blur.

  • Radius: This slider controls the intensity of the blur. At Min the blur is barely there, at Max the blur is extreme.
