This isn't the place for masterpieces, but for "status updates" a la Twitter or Facebook.
12 Seconds is well integrated with other social networking sites. You can even log in with your Facebook or Twitter account, which saves you the time of creating a unique registration. If you set the permissions, 12 Seconds will automatically update your status on those other sites when you upload a new video.
12 Seconds TV is also a social networking site in its own right. You can follow other 12 Second producers, gain followers for your own videos, pass videos on to other users and more.
12 Seconds is optimal for quick, off the cuff video takes. As such, the site supports direct recording from your web cam and mobile uploads. There's even an app for iPhone users who can't record video. With the 12 Seconds app you take 3 photos, record 12 seconds of audio, send it to 12seconds.tv, and they'll put together the video for you.
Wondering what happens if you upload something that's not 12 seconds? If it's shorter, it'll post. If it's longer, it's automatically trimmed to 12 seconds.
12 Seconds lets you download videos to your desktop, and it provides analytics to inform you about who's watching your videos. There's also a "Daily Challenge" that poses a question you can answer in a 12 second video for a daily prize, and the "12erator" that automatically generates prompts to inspire your 12 second videos.
Check out the Desktop Video page on 12 Seconds to see how the site works and how the videos looks ... and to see some cute videos of my baby!
