Unfortunately, there is no easy way to search for YouTube groups. The main YouTube Groups page only lists the most recently created groups, and there is no main list on the site of all groups. Until YouTube changes this, the best way to find groups to join is to browse the site for other users who share your interests, and see what groups they are part of.
