You have four layout choices for setting up the Featured Tab on your new YouTube channel - Creator, Blogger, Network or Everything. Which one you choose depends on what kind of content you're promoting. For my channel I chose the Creator layout, because I want to feature my promotional video, as well as playlists of other videos I've created.
Other layouts let you promote all of your uploaded videos, specific playlists, different YouTube channels, or a mix of everything.
