Adding Transitions in Timeline View

You can also right-click and select “Add to Timeline” or use Ctrl+D to add a transition in Timeline View. Again, the transition will automatically go between the first two clips. If you want it to go somewhere else, highlight the clip you want to transition to, and the transition will land between that clip and the one in front of it.

You can also drag and drop transitions in Timeline View. To do this, select the tile for the transition you want and drag it down onto the timeline until you see a blue line appear between the two clips where you want the transition to go. Drop it there and the transition will go between those two clips.
