Klip mobile video is a great app because of its attention to detail. Programmed to facilitate easy video sharing and seamless playback, Klip makes a nice addition to any iOS mobile device.
Overview of Klip:
The
Klip Mobile Video App offers micro-video recording and sharing with a user-friendly interface. Klip aims to separate itself from the
video app crowd by focusing on the details of the mobile video experience, such as streaming speed and in-camera video effects. It's free to download, and is compatible iOS mobile devices, so you'll be sharing Klips in no time!
Getting Started With Klip:
You'll need to download the app to your mobile device via the App Store or the Klip website. Launch the app, and you'll have the option to sign in with Facebook or Twitter, or to make a new account using a valid email address. Since your Klip account is based on a preexisting social media or email account, you won't have to worry about forgetting your username or password. After you've logged in, Klip will prompt you to find fellow Klippers using your phone contacts and other social media accounts.
Recording Klips:
To start Klipping, just press the record button at the bottom of the screen. Before you start to record, you'll have the option to choose a video filter to apply to your footage. Klip has a handful of fun filters, such as 'Zenith', which makes your video look like an old television, to 'HDR' which gives your video a contemporary, digital look. The Klip recorder also comes with a zoom function that lets you zoom both before and during video recording.
With the newest version of Klip, you can upload videos up to three minutes in length. Once you finish recording you can share the Klip or save it for later. Klip gives you a wide variety of sharing options in addition to other social media sites, including links to share via email or IM, HTML for websites, BBcode for message boards, and markdown links to make Reddit comments. A great feature of Klip is private sharing, which lets you choose if your video is available for all Klip viewers to see, or just a close circle of friends.
Rather than save the videos you record with Klip to a queue specific to the application, Klip puts videos in your camera roll with your other videos. This feature not only simplifies the Klip user interface, it also makes it easy to take advantage of Klip's fun video filters and integrated camera zoom for everyday shooting.
Viewing Klips:
Klip functions similarly to Twitter - you can follow other users to receive each of their Klip updates, and fellow Klippers can follow you. When you log in, you'll see a tab devoted to the Klip updates of the people you're following, and you can browse videos based on popularity and recent updates. Klip also lets you save the videos you like, so that you can quickly pull them up to share with friends and family.
One of the goals of the Klip app is to provide viewers with a seamless streaming video experience. The app automatically detects your connection speed, whether it be 3G, 4G or wifi, and adjusts the video playback quality accordingly. Thanks to this feature, you don't have to deal with slow uploads and boring buffering moments. In addition, the Klip user interface has a preview feature that lets you quickly scroll through videos with the swipe of a finger.
